Saraswathi Education Society started a Tamil Medium school in 1952 with the benevolence of a few like minded people in Thane. However the strength of people opting Tamil Medium was deteriorating and there has been a demand for English medium school. Accordingly the Saraswathi Education Society was established in 1953-54 and was registered under Public Trust Acts in 1956.                                                                        
The Society runs three institutions namely, primary, secondary and junior college. We have a strength of about 3500 students and well knit team of 82 teachers highly qualified, trained, experienced and dedicated to the core. It is a cosmopolitan co-education institution. We admit students in Jr. K.G and impart quality education up to Std. XII Science/Commerce in English medium. High school and Jr. College is receiving grant from the State Government where as Primary is unaided. The Society attempts to ensure that the students leaving our educational campus after acquiring secular knowledge at H.S.C level are fit enough to meet the present challenge of intellectual and physical need of the day.                                                                                       
                                                                                                                                                                             
We are happy to announce without a touch of boastfulness or complacency, that we are achieving 100% results at the SSC examination for the last 14/15 years. That we have produced a few students in the merit list at the result of SSC examination continuously from April 2000 gives a self-illuminating comment upon the quality of education we attempt to impart at our institution. Besides, in HSC, we have been achieving 100% results in both the faculties, i.e. Science and Commerce and a few students in Science have achieved the distinction of being placed in the merit list throughout from 2000 onwards. We have three separate well equipped modern science laboratories, spacious library with reading room with good stock of books, periodicals, magazines, papers for widening the sphere of knowledge. Students are also taught computer science, dance, music, drawing as optional subjects.
